Hi Aleta1, youre getting down to the nitty gritty of Interior Design now. Choosing the perfect colour involves addressing many issues...size of your windows, orientation of the house, height of ceilings, size of rooms, purpose for room to name a few. If you have the time I recommend getting a sample pot of full and half strength and try it in a couple of corners of each room. That way you can see how the colour looks at different angles. Linda Do you like the idea of mid- blue laminate for the bottom doors with slightly lighter blue for the top run. Then the mid-blue could be used for the front of the island - perhaps with a patterned laminate or glass with a hint of the green in the pattern. Lots of house plants would finish it off well. Hi krittle Lovely colour combination. It seems very 'woodsy'- like in a forest! (Not knowing your personal preference in design, it's a bit tricky to say.) But - a theme to work with - Timber furniture including cane/ratan/water hyacinth. Natural fibres like cotton, linen and wool. The samples you have shown us have a green cast to them in the photos. So using that as a base colour, fill in with lots of shades of green in cushions, lamp shades/bases, floor rugs and paintings/photos on the wall. (Use white frames) Lift the atmosphere with yellow or various shades of magnolia pink/magenta. (Perhaps shades of lavender/mauve/purple would work with the grey ) Keep everything toned with green/grey undertones. Add indoor plants on a grand scale - Fiddlewood, Philodendron, Aspidistra. Let us see what you come up with when you move in. Enjoy your new home.

I had a lemon and lime bathroom in our first house. It was a lovely combination in a south-facing, somewhat dark bathroom...until I fell pregnant. Then I started to associate the colour combination with the nausea of morning sickness. Even after our eldest child was born, I still felt nauseated walking into the bathroom every morning!
