The roller blind with sheer curtains will give a soft look and block out the light while you sleep. The floor to ceiling curtains probably won't look as nice due to your small space and the cornice so just above the window and a little wider than the window to make it look larger. The bed head either upholstered or timber needs to be light in colour so it doesn't dominate the room (the timber will be easier to clean) The design of the bedside tables depend on what you use them for but don't have too many items stored on them. The light also depends what you use it for (needs to be more direct if you use it to read). The addition of a large mirror will add the illusion of space and luxury. As you have a large bed in a smaller room just make sure the linen is not dominating the whole room. Good luck :)

Consider a cavity slider. That way you don't loose precious space in the bedroom, or kitchen, because of the rotating space for opening the door(whichever way you choose to have it open). It is also much easier to slide closed and even if a little ajar, gives very limited views into your bedroom. We access our bedroom through the pantry. Most people don't think we have a 4th room, or a master, even though they can see it across the deck from the lounge. They see the pantry wall and think thats it. It has given us extra insulation from people making breakfast or being in the the open plan area beyond. It is an unusual entrance, but we designed it like this to get around the noise factor that drove us nuts in our last house. We can have a sleep in now and never notice breakfast noise from the other household members.

Agree swap locations for all reason stated sounds like a good idea. Straighten hall way. Get some natural light into the corner room, at least a skylight if you can't add a window. bring the Master bedroom door down the hallway to near the utility door. This will make the area more useful and you could move the access to the first room, whether wir or ensuitte, off the hallway. Play around with options. Alternatively Could think of moving bed to where u show wardrobe. So many other options. Good luck

Thanks everyone who offered advice. I've attached 2 pics of the almost finished project. Can't show the bed as the picture isn't up yet - my partner went to clean some mildew off the ceiling, didn't secure the A frame ladder and only wearing thongs almost severed his big toe when it collapsed underneath him. So a warning to all! Please don't get up ladders that have not been locked or wear unsafe footwear. The mirror and rug were from Gumtree and I made the curtains myself (thank you Spotlight for a sale on curtain fabric). We're very happy with the results (apart from the hospital visit involved). Statement light fitting also needed at some point.
