Hey Camira1999, your pool area has huge potential. We love the wooden element you've added to your outdoor area. You could also add in some more foliage to the area, like we did in the projects below. Lacquering the back fence will also make a difference to the feel of the pool area. We also are manufacturers of DIY glass pool fences, balustrades, mirrors and splashbacks - you can pick up fences in a range of styles (ie: semi frameless, frameless with or without mini posts,etc) from your local Bunnings. Id do a pergola with clean lines with retractable blinds/shade in the roof part. There are some DIY blinds on Pintrest. For your windows I think external blinds that stop the heat hitting the glass are your best option.

Yes Steph, I think I would suggest keeping the bricks as they look really good at the moment. I like the idea of the glass pool fencing and think planting a grape vine and/or a few trees across the pool will give it some natural shade and be very pleasing to the eye. Do you want to retain the gates for car access or can you get a trailer past to the side? The idea of bbq and pizza oven sound great as long as the access is not stifled. I think the decking on the far side of the pool is really too small for any good: I would either remove it and put some comfy chairs with pool coping underfoot or extend it so it has room for more that two chairs! Looks fabulous....can I pop in Tuesday for a dip, please! Cheers Margot

I was going to suggest that the shower and hanging for togs and towels be placed in the red zone using the pool house plumbing. It looks great where you have it but it should have somewhere for the togs and towels as kids will use them several times a day in hot weather. If the Pool House was a POOL house and open to the pool would that mean you could just fence it and the pool together, but I guess by being multi function that changes the rules
