I would do the weather boards and down pipes in Miller Mood and everything else white - panels on either side of front window, gutters, fascia, soffits, window frames, sills and hoods, front door and stair rail, plus garage door. It would be so fresh and clean exactly as you are visualising. A fresh coat of white on your front fence and your house will be a standout. Love it....See MoreHelp with the exterior trim colour(s) to go with "peru" brick wall
Comments (2)To Modernise this without rendering or retiling the roof I would probably recommend to go darker with the trims. My top pick as a colour consultant would be Dulux's Domino for the trim. It will be a little bolder and create a more modern contemporary feel. You can see it pictured below as the trim. Obviously this house has painted their bricks in the shade "teahouse" however it will still look much better on your 1980s "peru" colour bricks! Comments (13)From your photos it looks like you are in an urban environment. The location of a home should be considered when choosing an exterior scheme so that it works with the environment rather than against it. However, as your home is in an urban environment, you don't need to worry about that. Instead, I would consider ensuring the indoor-outdoor flow (of colour) as a link to follow. Not knowing what your interior colour scheme is, look at your lighter colours and consider if they or variants of that colour will work on the outside of your home. The tall white fence you are having installed should be carried up to the house somehow, but this does not necessarily need to be the main colour. If you would like to give me a call, I would be very happy to talk this through with you....See MoreExterior colour advice please
Comments (6)While the ironstone for the window trim would fade into the background more than the surfmist, will you also be painting the inside of the window trims (I am assuming you are painting them vs replacing all windows)? You may want to consider how it looks from the inside too, especially for any windows without window coverings. We have 1980s bronze aluminium windows and while it fades against our brickwork, from the interior it really stands out against our white architraves and walls for the windows without shutters. Whatever you do you window and door trims in make sure your crimsafe is the same....See MoreBernadette Staal
