1/ at the old place we had similar configuration to your drawing..the cooktop where that is and 2 slim windows on either side. 2/ wash up like drawing is preferred as can talk or watch TV. So sink inside 3/ wall oven and microwave on top at end below is photo of our old kitchen

my first reaction is to ask which pans are used regularly and which ones are used less often and re-evaluate the storage space that can be re-arranged to suit eg. the space under the sink might be safer for the big saucepans and detergent stored in an overhead cabinet. After a recent move we realised that we use only three saucepans most of the time (because the rest were in storage for months) so i wonder if some of your treasured pans could be stored away from the kitchen to make more space available in the base cabinets for easy access for the others

this is my present kitchen with stacked built in microwave above wall oven...perfect height for me to be able to look inside both ovens and also safely lift plates and baking dishes in and out onto the counter without bending my old knees...i based the height of installation on my line of sight (in my average shoes!!) being about mid height on the microwave (a little higher than the bottom of the wall cabinets at standard 150cm above the floor) so, check the sizes of your proposed ovens and specifically ask your cabinet maker to install them to suit the cook (my cook top is also off centred to create more space for using the mixer and food processor and the counters are 5cms deeper than standard so you should consult the cabinet maker and you can have the kitchen that suits you best)

This is an interesting thread - whilst I agree that the distinction between "chemical" and "non - chemical" may not be the most useful one (for the reason pointed out above) - maybe a more useful discussion is about harmful and less harmful cleaning substances, whether to the environment or people. I suffer from something called MCS ( multiple chemical sensitivities, it's a diagnosis) and have come to realise that in my case at least it's not chemicals per se that make me sick, but rather certain smells. For example I cannot have the "Earth choice" (a natural") brand floor cleaner used in my house without suffering a few days of sore eyes, nasal congestion, fatigue, foggy brain and sinus headaches - it is truly debilitating, and the cause is the fragrance. If I use the same brand of "Naked" ( no scent) dish cleaner diluted on the floor instead, I am fine. I think everyone with MCS is different but this is working for me.
