Would you consider putting the TV and its console angled across the corner to the left of it's current location? The sofa would also be angled and parallel to the TV. Your current sofa might be a little too long for that and it might be awkward to move about the room - hard to tell in these small spaces til you try it. Or you might try the TV between the 2 windows on the left wall with the sofa again parallel to it - walk behind the sofa to get to the dining/kitchen area. That way the sofa would also face the front door and be welcoming or at least inclusive of someone walking in. Does the table have a leaf that could be removed to make it smaller? If so, try that and put the extra chairs around the living area, and the leaf could store under the sofa or under your bed. Once you get the big pieces arranged so that you like the look and flow, you can fill in with smaller pieces, rugs, pictures, other items. If possible remove the stool and pile of books on it as well as the pile between that and the TV.

Hi. The window placement and fireplace, would suggest an arrangement of an L shape of seating, ( connected or unconnected) so that one lot of seating faces the fire, the other faces the other wall (carport direction) but it remains as one , it would give you options for looking out of the windows, at the fire in winter or TV. I am struggling with plans for a new house and trying to decide where to locate the TV on the wall with the fireplace,and it is so difficult as it disrupts symmetry. I think that the offset windows will allow that space to work fine with the TV on the other wall.

It's hard to see dimensions on your plan, but my thoughts were a long 4S Sofa facing a wall mounted TV (on swivel bracket) opposite. Instead of an 'L' shaped modular, use an upholstered ottoman that can be moved around the space for additional seating (so in an 'L' shape in front of the screen wall, as suggested below), or can be used as a coffee table by placing a large tray on top. If you are taking out the wall, move it towards your dining area (this space seems to be on the larger size for a dining room?). Reduce the wall by half, hence opening up the space, but instead of a solid wall, perhaps timber screening like the pic attached. To create an 'entrance' at your front door, you could also install a smaller screen leading to the back of the sofa. In front of this, you could place a side table and a lamp?...assuming you have some wall space between the front door and the front window?...you do not need much of a wall for the screen. You could also position an occasional feature chair on the TV wall facing back to the sofa on an angle at the front window side? The right side of the TV wall, as you look at it,(if you push the wall out), could be wall storage or shelving.

If you have a lounge with a chaise it will not fit five people comfortably. Someone will be always having to put their feet up, and guests may not want to do that. I would have a two, and a three seater, at right angles, and single lounge chairs you can bring into the space if needed. This will allow for a table in corner, which you can't have with a modular corner lounge.
