Help with interior grey paint colours

Help! Need to choose interior paint colours. We have a north facing house (lots of light), but the corridor is dark and gets only a little natural light. We have NSW spotted gum flooring. Considering doing Dulux grey pebble for the walls of the sunny rooms, with vivid white for the trims and ceiling. However, for the hallway we're wondering whether grey pebble will be too gloomy, and whether white exchange half would be a better choice for the hall. The other options are either snowy mountain half or natural white for the walls. We toyed with lexicon but that is too blue. We also looked at Antique White USA but that is a bit too cream. HELP. I'm a bit whited out...

I'm using Dulux Tranquil Retreat half (painters are in tomorrow!) and found it when researching a warm light grey so fingers crossed. Good luck with your search.

Keep it simple. Use the same colour in quarter strength for the darker hallway. The undertones will then be the same.

Hi, If you take a drawer to a paint shop, their computer will match it for you. Whatever we say here, a photo is different on our computer and depends on the light in your kitchen too...

If you were still looking for some warmth and a little variation look at Dulux Natural White or Casper White Quarter. Both work well with Vivid White, so will still work with your trims and kitchen cabinets, however will provide a slight difference between your walls and trim work. In saying that there's no problem in using Dulux Vivid White for both walls and trims.

I still don't mind the odd painted feature wall it's cheaper that great art and can make a simple bed head and I'am not a slave to fashion. Your plain wall colours will look wonderful if you furnish the room correctly, adding any timber also helps. some photos for you cheers

Hi Kim Badcoe, that is where i found the colour and thought it looked great, in the paint pot it looks quite light but as you see it dries a lot darker. like the picture the house is flooded with natural light. i love the sharp contrast of the white and grey, but my choice is what im going to have to live with even if i get it wrong. Aaaahh decisions.

I think you really can't go wrong with Natural White, but I would try continuing the Grey Pebble and just being mindful of introducing surfaces that will reflect the light such as a big mirror, a large light coloured print and some light timber furniture. And of course it's a great opportunity to introduce some amazing lighting!

another question, do we paint the doors the same colour as the walls or as the trim?

Definitely doors in the same colour as the trim! Oh and I like ScottEvie's idea of using quarter strength as a variant for the hall.
