Do I need a larger rug?
Comments (56)I have read through the comments posted and I'm very amazed at how productive your followers are. Always looking for compromise, would it be possible to to face the two- seater couch toward the three-seater? I know it puts the two-seater back to the kitchen area but it would pull in the living area to one room. The sunroom behind seems to scream do something with me ( if only to make it a kids playroom). One or two chairs of smaller scale might be added to the open end of the couches. Or a low, wide bookcase that would feel like a faux divider and would add storage. Back to back bookcases would add heft and double the storage....See MoreLip/edge pull handles for kitchen - advice please!
Comments (24)https://www.galvinhw.com.au/grace2/product.php?pid=4469 I found Galvins in Perth and Adelaide had the best range of pull, very well designed and so easy to use. No jammed fingers. I had 52 something similar to this. I could open with little finger when hand were dirty. Mine were rounder so looked like a full stop on the edge of the cabinet rather than overwhelming the line of the cabinets....See MoreDifferent coloured stone benches – anyone done this?
Comments (43)I wouldn't go those dark laminate kitchen cupboards. I have the exact same and I absolutely loathe them now. I use to love the darker colours but now I wish I had just done them white, light gray or even the dark blue (although dark blue worries me a little too!). That dark laminate brown is such an absolute pain to keep clean. They show up every mark. I like your stone bench tops though but would look at other options to create the look you're hoping for with the joins and waterfall benches etc. Goodluck with it all!...See MoreWhat can I do to update tv area instead of just plants?
Comments (78)As you guessed , I just express my opinion . Some agree , some don't . Some houses which I have sold 20 years ago are still in the same decor , other people may not have purchased . I prefer a planned colour pallette and something that has a Wow , and I definitely won't have the same colour walls and ceilings all through a property . Some fast food restaurants do have the same colour all the way through , but even they tend to have white ceilings or similar . I do have a ( small ) stainless deep fryer that does great chips though ! As far as texture goes , I 100% guarantee I would have more texture than this house , to use the obvious comparison . That is why , if you go back up to my original post , I suggested a feature wall of wallpaper , and a painting -- texture and colour . I don't like grey or beige as primary colours , and in fact don't consider them pastels either , but thats pointless arguing semantics . I wouldn't have that combo , the OP would -- good on her . If houzz only had people that agree , it may be very boring ....See Moresimstress
