Need help choosing a timber for a deck that needs replacing
Comments (12)We used spotted gum for our decking and love it! We got it for $4.25 linear metre from Masters (any lengths that were inferior they were happy to replace). Our deck was built next to our near-white pavers so merbau was out of the question due to its leaching (plus we also were wanting an eco-friendly local hardwood if possible)....See MoreNeed suggestions for front of beach house
Comments (8)Keep it simple and functional. Replace the narrow steps with stepped down, broad decks. and put a definte border where cars are parked. The extra deck space gives a kind of "landing place" that more than one person can occupy. This makes the front really welcoming, and provides a place to put things on arrival. It defines the parking area and gives you the opportunity to put some feature pieces there that fit the feeling of "time at the beach"....See MoreDeck privacy suggestions please
Comments (11)Hi Simone, are you able to screen from the boundary fence ie with taller/thicker/more established plants vs partially/totally screening in your deck? What options have you guys discussed & veto’d? Just so we’re all on the same page :)...See Morefront door colour, deck and. wooden horizontal slats to cover bricks
Comments (17)Hi helke, how different we all are, I think your door is fabulous, by adding clear glass to the side, you will look at your door in a new light , to have such a unique door, you are very lucky. Also by adding decking and landscaping you will love the contrast the render will give to the overall look, you will love how the different textures will blend together to give a beautiful look, but we are all different and you should do what makes you happy every time you walk up your garden path to your home....See Moreamcsandy
