I'd keep your current lounge setting, it's gorgeous and would work really well with a dark timber floor. I also know it's a very big one as it won't fit in my living area so your room is bigger than it looks in the photos. The dining suite could also work quite well in the space with a few cosmetic changes to the rest of the area. At the moment the pale carpet is just making the furniture into two dark islands in a sea of white and it makes the room look pokey. Go with the dark timber floor, paint the walls a very, soft light grey. Rearrange the chairs into a conversation group, flat against the wall like that might be practical for tv viewing but it's not in the least attractive or social. Put side tables or a coffee table between the chairs. Pick an accent colour, I'd be inclined to go with the colour of those tiles on the wall of the kitchen or something bright and fun like turquoise. In your chosen accent colour get rugs for the lounge and dining rooms, wall art, drapes for that sliding door and napery for the table.

Bun gums sells other types of legs so have a look at how the current legs are fitt d and see if you can swap them for what's on offer easily.

I think you need a combo of chairs and a couch as the photos make it look like a through fare. black is very heavy so I would soften with a fur throw or similar. Focus on texture in your textiles and cushions. Mustard/ gold can look good against black. If you are changing soft I would go with something withe legs to lighten the look.

Love to see personal styling rather than matchy matchy show home look! I love the cane chairs but you don't want it to look crowded. Though you could put one to the left of the room facing the other way so it's more conversational rather than everyone facing the TV and with their backs to rest of the house. I love that Freedom lounge it'll look great. I'd probably add a rug in a warmer texture even a plain or patterned sisal to soften the dark shiny floor (the dark colour makes your room look smaller and is a bit stark against your nice warm timber) and anchor the furniture together, Freedom and West Elm also have great options.
