Hi, I have just pulled out the carpets and have good timber floor boards underneath but they are very dark, my friend told me she painted hers, but feel like this is wreaking the boards, what do you think, any suggestions.Thank you
Hi Phillipa
I would sand a section and see the true colour underneath and then decide based on the overall condition.
If sanding them doesn't lighten them up enough you could also bleach them.
Cheers
Thank you
What products are out there like timber you do not have to paint?
Q
Do I need to sand these boards before I paint them white?
Timber flooring and timber ceiling. - too much?
Timber wide-boards, yes or no?
Sand and polish. Floor boards always look great. Painting for me is the very last option.
Thank you will do the polish and sand
Please post a photo when you finish. Look forward to seeing the result!
