What colour extension table are you interested in what type of style Just noticed your couches are are dark brown and the dark floor closes up your space A bit hard to suggest chairs as I can't see what theme or style your house is to match what theme are you looking to achieve I would prob by a white gloss table and have either off chairs or light grey fabric chairs and buy a light grey couch Not sure of your budget but The brown couch you already have makes your place feel small and clashes with your floorboards My suggestion would be to get a new couch and dining table to match would make that space feel revived and fresh it's hard to match a table to that space with that brown couch

Hi Chris Good plan revision there may be a couple of things that may help 1. You need 3Ds to make a decision on the front, its not to difficult to do if your Building Designer has the appropriate software, in all my design I give my clients 3Ds because it is difficult to understand spatial concepts from 2D's drawings - even fro people that do it every day. 2. Internal views are often more important than external - you spend more time inside the house than outside., your neighbours my spend more time outside looking at the house. 3. Upstairs I really like the master bedroom, but one of the robe has a window in it this would mean that the clothes would become decoloured. I would remove the window. 4. Also I would remove the window next to the TV in the recreation room - TV's will increase in size and the window might not add to better viewing. In my opinion the recreation area forces people to go around the sofa - children wont they will walk over them - more fun. I think the Tv should be on the Bathroom wall and the room squared of and the real furniture put in to scale - might help a bit with the final decision, some 3D's would help. 5. There seem to be no window in bedroom 4. 6. The downstairs works well, just that the kitchen bench still has a sink in it - not very practical, and a bit old fashioned because it really does not work - tend to spill between sink - stove and fridge - wet floors are not very helpful in work areas like kitchens. I was told to bend arms at the elbow then have forearms parallel to the floor with hands outstretched - that is a comfortable/ergonomic bench height for me. My sister did this and no sore back working in her kitchen:) The sink - arms stretched down and hands flat on base of sink = comfort. Chairs are made to suit the male proportions -higher- so generally to get comfortable women (as usually women are shorter from ankle to knee) - have to cross their legs so the hips can relax. (I have seriously thought of cutting just 2cm from our chair legs )

Your industrial style lighting is at odds with the glamorous pendant for the dining room, and will detract from this feature. Your kitchen will be dark as it is a long way from a window for natural light. I would actially consider installing a Velux skylight above your island bench to bring some light into the kitchen. I would make any pendants above the kitchen bench as neutral and simple as possible so they are easy to clean and detract from the dining pendant. If you are going to include recessed downlights then do your research on the LED fittings that are sealed at the top to prevent heat loss/gain from the ceiling space if you are a single storey at the rear.
