Need help with interior colours
Comments (2)I still don't mind the odd painted feature wall it's cheaper that great art and can make a simple bed head and I'am not a slave to fashion. Your plain wall colours will look wonderful if you furnish the room correctly, adding any timber also helps. some photos for you cheers...See MorePaint colour suggestions to trick the eye.
Comments (14)Very light grey on all walls would be nice or white. Lighter colours like white tend to make spaces bigger and in ur case this needs to be done. The artwork on the weight bearing wall (in kitchen) needs to go as this draws ur eye to the wall . The railings on the stairs need to be painted (either colour of the walls or white)as this will help blend into the background and make the space look bigger....See MoreWisdom of the crowd needed : Exterior and interior color schemes
Comments (1)Hi Brant, All colour schemes are great but i totally understand the hesitation in choosing. I'm the same with anything for myself! To choose a 'side' i would like to vote for: Exterior - the ocean blue for the weather boards and an offwhite for the window trims etc. Its a small front however since you have the white picket fence, and the trees, these will offset all the dark colouring on the house. Make sure the off white is on the creamy side rather than the grey/blue side or it will just be more blue/grey looking against the dark ocean blue. But then that depends on the look you want in the end. :) Interior - I'm really not a fan of painting brown, if the skirtings are wood and you're just varnishing or oiling them, then ok but not paint. You could use the same off-white for the skirtings and door trims, and a blue-toned grey for the walls. It will be like having a paler version of your outside colour-scheme and very subtly tie them together. Don't forget buying sample pots and painting on large board to get an idea of how it will look on a larger scale is also a great help. If you paint two colours on one board its better to have them meet rather than leave a gap between them. The slightest suggestion of another colour can change how you view the ones you're trying to decide between. Best of luck in your final decision. Carol...See MoreChurch interior paint colours
Comments (8)Our church underwent a major renovation a few years ago, I think carpet is the way to go - good for all weather types and absorbing sound. Our church went with a commercial grade carpet - dark blue with faint white dashes, which has held up very well considering the heavy foot traffic. Our church had a committee to plan the renovation, it took months and also involved people in the congregation who had interior design qualifications which really helped since it’s the people who worship at a church would know what works best. By the way, I don’t think it’s a good idea to raise the rest of the flooring so that it is all one level, it’s hard for people towards the back of the hall to see the speaker and what not at the front. All the best with the renovations!...See Morerobinfk
