Depends a bit on the style of bathroom. Do you have pics so far? Options could be a stool to act as a small table, glass bathroom shelf added to wall, bath caddy (tray supported by bath sides)... We will have a tiled niche in arms reach of our tub.

Are you kidding us all? That looks fantastic!!! That bath and spout are spectacular and both look absolutely amazing. The spout looks excellent where it is, you do not want to hide it, show it off and no it does not obstruct the look of that divine bath. Well done italiangal

A lot of building materials are regulated as far as safety and flammability. If you purchase products that do not meet Australian Standards you may get caught out with a building inspection and be required to replace the items that don't comply. For instance there is an Australian Standard for the type of glass used in glass doors, and windows adjacent to glass doors. Foreign manufacturers may not comply, or label their complying products incorrectly. Another example is the flammable cladding used on many apartment buildings - often this has been imported to save money, but doesn't comply, and will need to be replaced at huge expense. With possible long lead times on many imported products, lack of local service and support, and lack of Australian warranties you are taking on a lot of potential risk, while you could be supporting local industry. Kate's idea of using the pantry space is an excellent suggestion as a toilet can comfortable fit within 800 x 800 alcove with the end opening towards the bathroom and closing the extra door from the laundry toilet could allow enough space to squeeze in an extra handbasin but please double check all the dimensions ..measured from wall to wall the bathroom has to be more than 1200 x 2, the laundry more than 1200 x 2 and the toilet size isn't right or there wouldn't be enough space to open any of the doors??
