Comments (15)Oh...I get it! I had a mid 50's stove in my house when I bought it, but in no time half the burners quit working & the oven temp was way off. I bought a flat top & almost immediately regretted it. About 18 mos ago I began my search for a vintage fully functioning stove. Found it on CL for $250. Fully rewired & oven temp is within 2 degrees. Love this thing! The top light works & the burner knobs light up too! :0) 1947 Nash Kelvinator...See MoreWhat colour to paint a fibro cottage by the river
Comments (58)Thanks for asking.. I am so happy.. the house was so decayed so we decided to rebuild the same look of a 100 year old cottage but move all the living to the front for the river view.. so happy we did it and went for light grey and white and yellow.. so pleased and we have people in the park comment.. we could not go any bigger because of council and flood zone but it makes it special as it is. Some pictures I just took.. I took a picture of the outlook so you can see why it feels just right.. still work to do as in the gardens and just finding the right plants to put in as it is full sun. Will ask for help on that one too to make it feel cottagey but not block the view. Thanks again for asking. Karen...See MoreBefore and After Shot
Comments (27)Paving paint is a brilliant idea, we did our driveway in jasper - its aDulux colour bond colour - over all it looked like a warm grey rather than an artificial looking grey - it felt so nice under foot too. Not sure about colour for your drive, but there were plenty of options. Good job on the house, it is beautiful. I bet inside is nice too. I am wondering whether along side the colourbond fence on the right of the home you could add a hedge to hide the colourbond fence? Also, a lovely horizontal timber gate might one day replace the metal one? That would be beautiful, but expensive no doubt....See MoreSamford Homes
