I thought it would be, but it's not too bad actually. we door knocked the area to see who would sell, and this house said yes.. so that's why I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it. I would definitely open up the windows. Does anyone know how much even one window would cost... say on the top left combing those 2 windows into 1.. I have no idea. Just a rough guess? The house inside is actually an awesome reno potential.. they built 2 sides of the house in blueboard (I think that's what it's called) for an easy reno... but those windows at the fronts aren't so that's why I"m trying to get ideas..

Love your styling and agree with petapea. Try browsing through images on Houzz and save any that you like the style of to an Ideabook. Collecting a range of images and then analysing similar aspects and features will help give you a better idea of your personal style - plus give you a bunch of new inspiration :)

Let's keep it nice, I don't think EthanWes is as precious as you may think and it is a forum for personal opinions after all. I also thought the comeback was unnecessarily aggressive & unwarranted. I would keep whatever you put there quite subtle and simple in colour so it doesn't draw the eye. You've got a nice retro/scandi feel from the look of it, see it as another way to carry this through?! So some ideas: - a small succulent in a low 1-2" pot, possibly including a trailing one such as Silver Falls (though don't let it get too out of hand!), will help make it look less compartmenty. i would call it a "front yard garage addition" but what is it that you're trying to do??...to my knowledge Australian councils are not usually very happy about having the main feature of the house as the garage (that's why even new homes have a porch sticking out further than the garage) but i would first find out how Council feels about the idea before you pay for any specific plans...you'll need a rough site plan of your block of land and buildings on your block with distances from buildings to boundaries and also a rough idea of the neighbours' at least two doors in both direction and showing the distance from the front wall of their existing houses to their front boundary....(ask the neighbours how they feel about the idea and including some photos and the site plan will help when you talk to council)..if your existing house is further back than the neighbours and they already have garages at the front you will have a better chance providing you satisfy all other regs...btw you may also have more luck by considering an open carport with a storage cupboard than a fully enclosed garage ...post your site plan to invite lots of specific suggestions and photos
