Hexagon, timber and white tile bathroom - dilemma
Comments (15)Ania, can you post photos when it is finished. It will be good to see those colours combined. I also love that inspiration photo and have it saved. I don't know what particular thing makes that bathroom stand out but it is beautiful. I want those exact same colours in my bathroom but a too scared to use timber tiles as I am scared they will date so am bringing in timber via accessories such as picture frames (I think). What is the grey tile in your photo and where is it from...it is very nice....See MoreBathroom tile choice dilemma - match or not.
Comments (7)HI there! If your looking to save money, then perhaps look into a stainless steel or ceramic walk in shower tray instead? This negates the need for waterproofing / screening / membrane etc and they can look really awesome! Some top architects are using stainless steel trays with timbers and dark tiles and it looks amazing!! Your bathroom looks great with your current tiles on the floor and the beautiful timber joinery frames so I think stainless steel would work in really well with this. If you want to do a proper walk in tiled bathroom, perhaps talk to Warm Up. They do fully tiled walk in showers as well. (not just underfloor heating) and are pretty well priced for what they do. Or companies like the below, this way you get a fully waterproofed, warrantied system. https://www.warmup.co.nz/heating-products/tiled-shower-solutions/ https://plumbingplus.co.nz/products/newline-devon-walk-in-tile-showers-chrome/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwov3nBRDFARIsANgsdoEDYdqIeqSs3rRrHYbLz_EYd94uS6q8F14DoAar6b_Q_b9piXPpNugaAg3cEALw_wcB If you do decide to do a tiled walk in shower, I would recommend doing a completely different tile, rather than one that looks similar. It always ends up looking like you have tried to match and not very good so best to go with something thats clearly different. Perhaps a mosaic or a white 300x75 brick effect tile? Artedomus have some great ranges https://www.artedomus.co.nz/mosaics?gclid=Cj0KCQjwov3nBRDFARIsANgsdoGNwkaKMFgFIbGReFg8qFVIzMZjG5MPPsiLxKmAz9rdvsIa-TIfWRgaAucgEALw_wcB All the best with your renovation :)...See MoreEnsuite design help please! Comments (22)Kate, are you able to post a picture of the internal bathroom that you say is too sterile. I also am having an internal bathroom and trying to decide tile heights. I have been given two different sets of advice on what to do. Feature tile is above a vanity with a round mirror skewed To left of vanity. My bathroom is only 1.55m deep. Tiles will be vertically stacked on feature wall using vanilla Brickart tile. Tile shop says to take feature tile to wall height of 2.7m and wrap it around walls just section where vanity is and then wall height in shower and no other tiles on wall. Tiger says to ceiling will be too much. Feature tile is creamy pale grey above timber vanity. It is always easier to decide what looks good for someone else as compared to self....See MoreI have a dilemma in choosing tiles for my powder room reno
