I think being a very small bathroom we've decided to do all white matt wall colour and dark tiles for the floor. Let see how it turns out. We're going to add features such as lights and mirror with frames around it. I'll send before after photo.

Well here we are yet again! I've not changed my opinion. The toilet-loo-privy- whatever one wants to call it needs a room of its own. Makes no sense to me having a "privacy wall" behind which to hide the pedestall if it is placed in a shower or full bathroom...the locked bathroom door is all that's needed. Seems to me that the concept of a separate toilet room or "Powder Room" (Why that title is anyone's guess)...was a sensible and accepted concept of homes in the 50's. It wasn't in need of any "polite" title, it was simply referred to as "The Toilet"..meaning basically -".where to freshen up". My idea of a perfectly sensible toilet is a separate little room housing the pedestal (toilet bowl) and a little basin with running water. Optional- a paper hand towel dispenser or one of those blowers...or a small towel rack and/or a nook for toilet paper...mabye to accomodate wet wipes in the absence of a basin or even where there's a basin....a nice comfy little Toilet Room..

When our building company architect had drawn up the plans and we'd gone on to the next stage of "add-ons", we requested a niche in the tiled shower area for shampoos etc, but were told it can't be done due to water-tight issues. Then, during the walk-through before signing off, we mentioned this to the building supervisor, and he was surprised about our request of a shelf being declined, and said that we should've asked them before they tiled. But, since we'd already made quite a few changes to the standard plan, we didn't want to cause any aggro. Now we have one of those metal extendable corner shelves. So, it pays to get a second opinion.

Hi dear Siri....always investing so much time and thought into designs for everyone... thank you so very kindly :) I love the look of that! Seeing things in 3D really does bring it to life and make a plan just pop right up off the paper! Do you think the shower/toilet should be swapped to take advantage of the garden view? Otherwise the toilet gets the glory - and a little set of table and chairs would be looking back inside to the toilet? Or - could we do that idea off the shower/toilet side? From the dressing room down to the toilet? Make the dressing room smaller to accommodate a door into a small walled garden? Love your (and everyone else's) input as always :) xx
