Have you been to visit some kitchen showrooms? You can customise the photo search here on Houzz quite a bit. For example, you can simply select [dark wood[(https://www.houzz.com.au/photos/kitchen-design-ideas-with-dark-wood-cabinets-phbr1-bp~t_10444~a_17-103) cabinet finish in the filter options. Then add more filters like floor colour, kitchen layout, cabinet style, wall colour etc if you wish. Leave the benchtop and splashback options open and see what results you get. You can then save any photos that appeal to your ideabook.

If you are keeping the rug, take the blue or pink out of it, and use that as paint colour. Only problem is I think the rug may be too small. We like to consider each room as a whole, can you post different views please? Leave out things you're not keeping in there.

I would wait until you move in and get some test pots and brush the colours out on big pieces of leftover wall paper. What suits will also depend on your furniture etc. I would be cautious painting the aluminium as going light over dark is likely to scratch and be obvious. I quite like the timber - but the colour it doesn't go so well with the timber floor - perhaps the other walls need to be painted a cleaner white as suggested and the timber wall to go darker to act like a frame to your view Alternately you could also paint the timber the same colour as the walls but it will need to go with your floor as this is the limiting factor. all the best with your new home.
