Well, having just gone through the trauma of choosing a new fridge for a new kitchen I can tell you this: the standard kitchen allowance for a fridge is 1000mm (one meter). Unless you are buying side by side units, most refrigerators are a standard size - including double door fridges. I found out it costs about an extra $1000 for water and ice, and whilst not all of the water/ice ones require plumbing, the better ones do. If you find a fridge you like, check the websites and price match. I got $700 off mine when my retailer price matched an online store. I have also bought appliances on the online stores with absolutely no issues, if that's an option for you. At the end of the day I chose the SMEG four door fridge which I like because the freezer doesn't have big deep drawers which I would lose stuff in! Plus I like the clean lines, and SMEG has a good reputation and good after sales service. Hope some of that helps! Good luck!!

Could you swap the fridge with the wall oven, going by your photo both fridge and Wall Oven would fit side by side. I would definately have the fridge on the cook top wall and not on the other side of the kitchen. I see by the photo that the timber beam could be in the way, I would speak to your plumber who should have a simple solution on ducting the range hood. A simple one built into a special cabinet above the cooktop can recirculate or be ducted outside by either exposed stainless tube for your industrial/country look or have the ducting boxed in, the ducting can be flexable so no problem avoiding beams.

Hi, use the cat as inspiration because its colours are beautiful - (a black white and tan rug would add a little wow) and its hair will blend in too. Next just add in small touches of a green you like and more of the base colours in rugs, throws, cushions etc. As for furniture if you follow decor trends it is now the thing to NOT have matching furniture sets in the bedroom but the trick is to link everything through colour. I suggest a picture rest shelf (Bunnings) running along the back wall above the bed at eye level. Pictures (and a mirror) and bits and bobs are then on one level, look intentionally placed, keep things tidy and out of reach of little hands and you can mix and swap as seasons and events change. Plants yes, they give colour and life, then a bit of wicker/rattan or other texture in plant bases, a chair or foot stools at the end of the bed. Some nice green glass vases or candle holders etc. etc. Easy changes that allow you to save for when you want to do your big reno. I would spend your big money getting rid of the strip lighting above the bed and adding nice floaty sheer curtains.

Moving the mattress- definatel! Switching the chest of drawers to the now empty wall - definately. Move the seat to the centre under the window to balance the drawers. Think about a bed head - maybe in the same neutral as the seat. Some simple bedsides in a blonde wood - lamps could be black or gold anglepoise style. Bed linen could remain a simple white or linen but to achieve a luxury look that magazines show I have read that a doona size larger than the cover gives the full look. I don't know what that is like to sleep under though. At the very least, have a doona an size larger, or even two sizes larger, than the bed so there is plenty of over hang.
