I think you need to stay neutral to ensure that your couch and room colour are cohesive. The odd colour out ... that pops out at me when I first look at your photo's is the silver around the wooden TV cabinet doors. I would suggest long term (if you are keeping that furniture) that you try to incorporate more of that colour into the room to add balance...... but back to the couch. I would go fawn / beige colour and then you can add colour back into the room with cream / dark brown tones in cushions and maybe a casual throw. Alternatively if you repaint the feature wall from brown to a darker shade of grey I would go with a medium grey couch which would also match in with the silver on the TV cabinet and then you could put a lovely textured silver / grey floor run between the couches and move your coffee table to the centre of the room / rug.

Go with your gut Tracy..... it is a big investment but I have found that if it makes you smile every time you walk into your kitchen you'll never regret it!!!! I've recently moved into a smaller downsized home with my 3rd black kitchen, with drawers, no cupboards, except for the pantry which we use as the crockery and wine glasses stash. Mine is matt but no handles = no hip bangers! I chose to use snow white stone bench tops, the walls are painted natural white while the floors are pale oak hybrid vinyl.

Don't go with white. While it is easy to replace door fronts and drawer fronts you won't be able to replace the tall vertical panels adjacent to the fridge recess and the microwave recess without pulling out half of your cabinetwork. If you went with a white you wouldn't be able to match the same white as these vertical panels, and the new white would look off next to the old white or vice versa! I'm afraid there is no easy solution that will make the new doors blend in with the old vertical panels, so I would go with a bold contrast colour block that looks good with the white vertical panels, as well as the black granite. Perhaps consider a Piet Mondrian inspired kitchen facelift, by introducing some black edging to the vertical cabinets and a careful composition of blocks of primary colours? I tend to lean towards a relaxed coastal look. With your colours I’d add some warmth with wood and texture. These stools are very comfy and would look good with your kitchen colours. A taupe or grey sofa over a neutral large rug, sisal or wool blend, with a wooden coffee table. Do you have colours you like? Do you have any art to work with?
