I would love to share one of my favourite pieces from a hallway collection, but I also adore the accent/feature wall idea and the image that Dytecture shared. I think a better light fitting is needed too, to make it lighter, brighter and more current. Do you have glass in your front door?

This is the 'black' version. Do you think that it will still get lost and we need something with more punch. Still deciding on best material/colour for splashback. We will have a window over the sink and glass fronted cabinets along the wall behind the island bench. Definitely requires wallpaper or paint. I would probably go a textured wallpaper like a bronze /gold weave wall paper. It will give the area deapth and frame the space to make a statement. You have the furniture and space for it. Large art or a mirror. I would possibly keep it rectangular or squarish. A rug would soften and fill the space but would have to be selected carefully to ensure no tripping hazard. Maybe something patterned (replicated through abstract & lines like the legs of your table, with a pop of colour and upgrade the vase of flowers to reflect this colour. Basis of design is replication whether it is colour, shape or pattern.

Hi Jessika, Ivy is the perfect choice for your hanging baskets, you could add pansies during the colder months and petunias mixed with the ivy in the summer, gorgeous, do you have any large garden centres near you, they will be able to advise a suitable tree, in Melbourne we have a great nursery called Gardenworld that has a fabulous range of plants and great advice , I am like you I love gorgeous gardens also, check out Paul Bangay and Peter Fudge for inspiration .
