Colour to paint eaves and gutter
Comments (11)I would love to see you paint both the gutters and trim boards under the gutters, the eaves and the underside of the porch roof in all the same color. The white looks nice on your home. You could add color by painting your front door a deep blue (not as dark as navy) or a deep emerald green. Then add big flower pots in the same colors or even a pair of colorful chairs on the porch. Your pretty house just needs some pops of color here and there and flowering plants can also do the job....See MoreCalling for advice with what to do with our front facade asap
Comments (10)If time and budget permit I would add horizontal screens (timber stain or charcoal/woodland grey) from the right pillar to the garage (hiding the down pipe) and from the left corner of the house (hiding the bins) Do basic landscaping, two narrow beds either side under the windows, bark mulch and simple plants e.g. Lomandra longifolia (a native low grassy dark green clumping plant) is common but easy spaced every 30 cm Valuers like safe and neutral schemes, so keep with the Woodland grey roof/fascia & Classic cream garage door and repeat this on the upper feature slats for now. Then add a warm complimentary colour for the front door, this is Dulux Rodham Then get a lush new plant for that pot too. If you keep it simple (KISS Principle) for now it will come together for sure :)...See MoreWhat colour floorboards and recommendation
Comments (23)Thanks for the feedback all... Here are some samples and it just shows how important to see them in the actual environment. Looks a little too dark even with a lot of light the longer plank is embelton brand and the other two are colonial quickstep. The two darker boards are already showing the hand prints. The embelton board (Belmont dark) was slightly cheaper albeit they had a special on that coloured board, so it should come in around $32 Sqm for the different colours. I'm almost sold on embelton as the look and feel is more advanced to the colonial. I'd love to go with real timber but this isn't my dream house, plus I have concerns that it would be truly appreciated based on the area I live. I'm aiming for a hybrid coastal look and just finished the walls in antique hamptons, so re painting in the short term isn't desired. In the pics the Belfort dark looks fantastic c but maybe I aim for La Mancha or maple in the embelton range...See MoreWhat colour eaves / soffits
Comments (11)In my opinion it's going to look like a flag , (white ,red blue. )If you want to paint house blue go darker and maybe French blue or greyish blue it's a bit more elegant and all the trims white but be careful outside all the colours look much brighter and lighter so when think it's just right go a shade darker ....See MorePaul Di Stefano Design
