Hi, One option is to eliminate the gap with a nib wall like i have attached. It really depends on the size of the room in terms of how it is structured and what you want to archive. The wall hung vanity is great for smaller rooms but cleaning underneath is hard and you wont really be able to have a nib wall without creating a dust trap. Just thought i would throw out a idea. A three way bathroom can cost twice as much to tile than one large bathroom, ( sometimes more, depending on your tiles, there is a lot of cutting, it is in fact 3 rooms , each with its own tile bed, if you are doing it yourself, have a tiler give you a quote before , if you are having a professional business renovate in Sydney about $ 30K for all labour only. for a 3 way , this should be about $ 22/ $ 24 K for one large room, with nib wall vanity to toilet, niches to shower and bath, anything cheaper we would have doubt about quality of waterproofing, tiling, sound insulation To make a decision, go and sit on the edge of your bath by yourself and visualize your finished bathroom. one large ( less expensive room, ) or three small rooms. ON paper ideas can be appealing. Buying at the place where trade buys can keep cost lower. e.g Kaldewei Eurowa made in Germany steel bath 2.5 mm thick $ 400 You state it is your master bathroom,to us your master bathroom should have the look, if you go to sell your home this could make/ break the sale. Back to your vanity, the larger vanity will make the room look cluttered. Ken Evers

And it's done! I did not run to ikea to get a shorter vanity, I used what I had and here's the result, ta daaa! It still need some tweaks (tiles, pull too low, push back washing machine etc) and lots of cleaning (are bathroom renovation messy or what) but I'm content with it, it's an 100% improvement! And the plumber didn't think it was too long, nor too high.. Now onto some decoration, I do fancy some pops of coral in there, what do you think? Oh , and should I have a kick-board to hide the feet? Ps: Sorry about the bad photos, my phone doesn't want to focus anymore.

Ideally you would want 900-1000mm clear space in front of your vanity and for walkways, unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world and have to work with what we have. 700mm would be the absolute minimum width for a walkway to still allow reasonable passage, although I would be reluctant to go this tight. A floating vanity will help the space look larger and storage can be included in a mirrored shaving cabinet or mirror with shallow shelf above the vanity.
