We want to do vertical paneling and shaker profile doors in our kitchen and our cabinet maker has suggested the best option may be to use a raw board that we (or a painter) then paint whatever colour we like. Other options are 2pac(which is more exe and he says more likely to chip/not wear well with kids) or vinyl wrap. I’ve never heard of anyone having a hand painted kitchen! Has anyone done this? Does it look a bit rough and rustic as assume you would see brush strokes? Or is spray painting it an option?
