Concrete over concrete

Hi, I want to enlarge this patio, extending out a similar distance again to create an alfresco/outdoor room. At the same time I want to increase the hight of the surface (a) so it meets the lower edge of the 'pool coping' [currently 70mm below it] & (b) so its near flush with the interior floor [currently 30mm below it.
Must I rip up the existing concrete or can I concrete over the top with only partial excavations?
I would also like some suggestions on overall layout as I want it to have a higher roof/ceiling. What do you think of combining masonry with decking?
