Laundry v in kitchen laundry cupboard
Comments (14)I personally like the idea of the laundry cupboard as long as it's well planned and must include space for dirty clothes, my kids had laundry baskets on wheels in the bedrooms and I would ask them to wheel them to the laundry on wash day. When washed and dry I would fold and return them to the basket for them to collect. I don't iron them as it's a waste of time in my family. One of the best items I have is a pull down ironing board. it can be where ever you have space for everyone to use. Dryers are easily ducted so no problems with condensation, your plumber can do this, F&P have them so can imagine others do as well. Similar to the following idea, the laundry can be installed behind sliding or folding doors to cover any mess that you might have and can include a hanging drying rack above the bench next to the window, this is great for shirts and reduces any wrinkles....See MoreSmall laundry room - door vs window
Comments (11)As mentioned by Kate and jo wst, a single door with glass panels might be ok, with a side window. But, I still think that if your clothes line is not on that side of the house, it is probably quicker to walk through to other exit. In my previous house, that was the case. And with the boundary fence, only giving a small walk way along the home, then it would be more comfortable to walk through the home. As previously posted. I had this exact scenario in my previous home. Never actually used the sliding door on a regular basis....See MoreFloorplan for east facing trapezoid shaped block
Comments (64)Hello Bianca, I thought that the site plan above was Azam's! I thought beauty: now I can get this plan right for him and the site at last. it has been going back fwd up down for ages! So I sat here and scribbled away as I love to do and blow me down! I am looking at your site dims and directions instead!! So here is a plan suggestion for your site with no idea where you are, what you are wanting, what you like but a few of Azam's requirements! Have a look: it will use your northerly aspect far better than the outline on above: There is more space to the north and west..... much better for passive solar design: read much lower power bills..... Comments (18)I have to agree that Builders don't like any big changes and will apply extra charges to do so. I suggest the following small changes. i) The fridge needs to be swapped with the cook top, the pantry looks like you can make it longer to line up with the outer edge of the island. Is the island 900 deep to allow you to sit up to? Have one of the newer deeper squared sinks preferably with 1 1/2 tubs to hide dishes in 2) The laundry, don't go with a sliding door they are a waste of space, and won't allow the bench to go full length, instead a small window at the end and above the bench which shoud have the sink below it. plus a a glass hinged door. (check our some of the display home with the sliding doors!!) Plus add a doorway from the passage 3) Try for wider wardrobes in the bedrooms with sliders for more space 4) Maybe add a wide Barn door across the opening into the family bath, bedrooms 5) Swing the garage door inwards, if the garage is deep enough step the door in from the corner to allow for storage along that back wall....See MoreFlorian P
