Modern rustic: 12x24" porcelain tile made to resemble a wide piece of distressed wood. Not an overtly obvious wood grain, more of an implied grain that you only see after studying it for a minute. Rectified and small grout joint. (Form follows function in design- easy to live with is always first!) option B: a vein cut travertine patterned 12x24 in brown or gray tones. Set in a soldier corse, straight stack pattern, so it's not about the grout joints, it's more about the linear pattern of the tile.

HI there! If your looking to save money, then perhaps look into a stainless steel or ceramic walk in shower tray instead? This negates the need for waterproofing / screening / membrane etc and they can look really awesome! Some top architects are using stainless steel trays with timbers and dark tiles and it looks amazing!! Your bathroom looks great with your current tiles on the floor and the beautiful timber joinery frames so I think stainless steel would work in really well with this. If you want to do a proper walk in tiled bathroom, perhaps talk to Warm Up. They do fully tiled walk in showers as well. (not just underfloor heating) and are pretty well priced for what they do. If you want to contrast and keep with that retro, beach house feel, I'd recommend checking out the Arts range from Tile Warehouse. Lots of cool patterns, etc. Should be a bit cheaper than Terrazzo but the downside is smaller format tiles.
