For my mind the raised one not only looks better but also, for some reason, feels nicer when soaking (maybe it's a "Lord/Lady of the Manor" thing :) ).

I think that would look great with floorboards in a classic walnut colour, that would definitely look great with the light cabinets. If you want an idea of how it might look with the end finishes, you can type this into google and they should be able to show you a few.

Thank you for your kind words :-) I loved working on this project. The clients' cabinets were pre-existing, so I don't know the exact colour. However, they were similar to a Resene paint colour called "Flotsam", which is similar to a pale grey with a hint of mauve/purple tint or in a Flexi Panel - Oyster Grey. I hope this is of help!
