Before and After Little girl's wardrobe
Comments (4)Hi mldesign, thanks for the lovely feedback. Ironically, this is a fairly amateur set of photos but quite popular on this site. I think because it's real life and a real improvement, and quite acheiveable. If you look at the teenage boys room on my profile, that' my son's room -another real life situation. It never really looks like the after shot though, because he is normal and I'm happy for him to be that way. I think as long as I provide the faciltiy for him to be organised, I have done my job as a Mum. I did have pro shots of that done last week so it will be a better quality scene soon and I'll do a whole story on the storage for kids. Yes being oragnised can save a lot of hassle and frustration. People often think I must have an amazingly tidy and organised home, but what I think really matters is finding the right facility to keep you as organised as you personally want or need to be, and that's different for everyone, and changes throughout life and it doesn't have to look pretty to be organised. I also love this little girl's room photo and the one of the little boy's room that because this client was one of those who told me that what I had done for themtotally changed their lives. Seems like a big deal really, but so glad it works. I also did their walk in wardrobe and the study -also photographed- again just phone shots but you can see what an improvement it was for them. Another in my collection of favourite clients....See MoreMaster Bedroom Before/After
Comments (6)Hi, They way it was set up before did allow for a headboard and the client kept losing their pillows in the night, they also had to duck to be allow to get in and out of the bed, so, practically, the layout simply did not work for them. The brief was that the room was "empty" and they wanted to "fill the space" and make it "cosy", hence the positioning of the bed, for practically and spatial ascetics, fulfilling the client brief, our primary goal....See MoreBefore and After Carlton Terrace Transformation
Comments (15)Yes, the back half past the original 2 rooms where usually are lean-to structures were demolished and a new 2 storey structure added. The condition of the back part was poor, the bricks could be pulled out by bare hands as discovered during demolition!...See MoreFar from "Cookie Cutter" - Before/After
Comments (13)Its funny how we have different tastes -- I love art , but I think the wallpaper is too 'arty' , if that makes sense . Wallpaper with larger leaves I like ( probably moreso in an entrance or bedroom , but it would work here ) but that particular design doesn't gel with me -- if the wallpaper design was an art print say 1200 x 900 in a white frame , against say a light green wall, even a 50's mint tinge , would look great in my opinion , but anyway . . . . . . . . . And again just personal preferences , I actually like the 'before' kitchen as it was , especially the mix of wood/white/led on the bench , and the industrial lights -- the new light is too fiddly for my taste . The white tiles are an improvement , and maybe I'm lazy haha , but that would have been the only change I would have done -- actually , to be honest , with that wallpaper , I would have been at least as likely to have gone with emerald green tiles / splashback to reference the wallpaper , rather than effectively the 2 colouir zones you have now . Yes , I'm probably weird ....See MoreBecc Burgmann Interior Design and Decorating
