Single-glazed laminate or double glazed for a large sliding door?

Hi all,

I'm after some advice re which type of glass to use. We're replacing a 3000 x 2100 French door with a two panel slider. I'm in the process of getting quotes and thus far have only asked for quotes for double glazed. I'm wondering if there's a single glazed laminated product that you know of that performs equally as well? We're interested in thermal efficiency as this door faces south-west and gets really hot in summer and lets in a lot of cold now in winter. I've noted the recommendation to check out AWS Vantage windows and doors on other threads. The number of products they offer is slightly overwhelming! Any advice welcomed. Thanks!
