I love your color scheme. How did you decide on that granite? I found this website too . Perhaps those cabinets are not available here but just where you are. either way I can find something similiar. Did you have any issues with ordering..getting parts.. assemely? Do you have any helpful tips for designing ? Did you actually hang them yourself? Is there anything about the cabinets that you find defective or insufficient or think could be better? Hi Alisdair! If you're keeping the brick and roof as are then I'd pick a colour from the brick. If my monitor is right, then I think I see a kind of purply-brown or Sydney 'liver' brick in the darker bricks. Are you brave enough for a bit of aubergine on the fascia and window frames to pick up on that? I'd stick with a pale pale tan under the eaves, taken from the brick colour, to better bounce light around. Also, your front door is pretty recessed and could probably do with a pick me up. If you're game, bright green. If that's too far, then the pale tan out of the bricks. Good luck!

Why wouldn't you just have them set/sealed so you don't need any trim (like the very first photo)? We have many of these sorts of windows in our house, and most rooms are trimmed with architraves BUT in the public rooms we opted to have "trim-less" doors and windows to match the square set walls/ceiling.

I would go for drapes sitting high up to the ceiling and have the same for both windows shown in the picture (tracks at same level). Perhaps something with texture or pattern that has the tones of the wall paint colour. Lots of options with double track systems if want a soft voile for screening or to break the light. You can also do as Julie suggested as well as put curtains up to soften the space.
