I have 3 questions about your space, Do you want external access for laundry to back yard? Is there a window/external door in there? Could the bath be just a nice galvanised tub/large plastic tub/baby bath that hangs on the wall until needed? (Filling & emptying it happen in the new shower with flexible spray arm???) My first thoughts are to keep all the plumbing across back wall (if no door planned) and move the entry door to the linen cupboard on right hand side. Then make linen cupboard on left front wall and accessible in part from both sides ie. bulk towels etc outside upper wall access (behind shower) then laundry basket & other storage is inside access, How about a modern shower which is 13-1400 mm square (same position as current layout) with a 7-800 mm glass door on left and a tiled 600 mm blade wall on the back right hand side which the laundry stone bench butts to (window over?) Leaves 18-1900 mm length on back wall to accommodate the tub/sink and washer dryer. If you place the washer/dryer under the bench and a 500 mm wide storage cupboard you gain a greater bench area for sorting etc and wall space depending on window for shelves, hanging rack etc. If you really want a bath Decina have a corner model and a rectangular to fit these dimensions and then you would need a shower screen (will this be the only bath?) With the door into this room on the right it creates the better flow straight ahead to the laundry and left with some privacy to the shower/bath. The linen cupboard is a good size and you could have a hatch on the outside right to the laundry basket inside which could even be on wheels in a recess/niche. Hope this makes sense and helps a little. :-)

A floor to ceiling cupboard would work well in this space. As mentioned in the above comment using Mirror on such a large surface in the bathroom could become a hassle to constantly keep clean. However if you do like to look of Mirror I do suggest a dark tinted mirror, as this would go quite nicely with the colour of your tiles and not look to harsh in the bathroom. For the doors a Pocket door system would work quite well! this is where the door is opened and then you can slide it back to be in line with the cabinetry. I would keep the colours of this cabinetry quite plain and stick to the same colour palette of the tiles. Goodluck !

Hi Paul In apartments, the killer for layout changes are always drains, then water supply, then load bearing walls. Before you consider doing any changes to the layout, I would advise you to locate the drains (pics would be good) as they will likely restrict you. The drains are important for obvious reasons but also important is the fall (ie downward slope) of any drain you wish to install in a separate location. It means you have to take into account more height the further away from the existing drain you go. It is likely that your existing laundry trough/basin has a drain going down to the floor, and this is going to interfere with the proposed ensuite entry location. Ditto if it is going into the wall. The big one is the new shower. It will need to have a 50mm waste (drain) in the centre of where your washing machine now is.... and the question is where is it going to go.... I would suggest swapping the vanity and shower over to access the existing trough waste if it is large enough. In a lot of these older apartment buildings, the waste sizes are down at 38mm, which is not going to drain fast enough for a shower. If your existing waste is that size, you will need to have a hob to the shower as it will fill up, and you will also need to check health regs to see if it is allowed in your state. To get the drain for the new ensuite vanity and new laundrette sorted, I would punch through the new kitchen wall and run drainage along the wall behind the new cupboards and around to the existing kitchen sink waste. This will give you plenty of fall and a place to hide the pipes. For the new basin to the existing, you will need to see if you can get it around to the existing basin waste in the bathroom adjacent by running it around and under the bath. Cheers
