Lighting in room

This home office is an outstanding use of a small space. What kind of lighting was used to make such a small, windowless space not seem claustrophobic? I can't see any ceiling lights in the picture. Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out to us. For this home office we used strong under-mounted & recessed puck lights from Hafele.

This type of lighting should work well, especially if they have dimmers to, which will add to the ambiance. A standard lamp would also help if say light is needed for reading etc. Also go to your local lighting shop and ask them to show you their working displays.

yes painting the dark area a dark colour. lacks natural light and want it to feel cozy in front of the fire. thanks for the suggestion. (I know it's hard to tell the colours from the photo) the door and trim are one colour which is a cream. I dont want the door to be a completely different colour, either want to leave it cream or paint it the same as the wall so it's all the same colour.
