I agree about the idea of putting roller blinds on your door , matching the colours of the others must mention about Annie Sloan paint : it is a chalk paint and you can apply it on any wood surface with at having to use primer, what " seals" the pain is the Annie Sloan wax you apply afterwards. You can Buy Annie Sloan on line , i use Annie Sloan a lot.it is expensive if you want the legs painted black to be smooth, just paint and wax , but one coat of Annie Sloan does not give a good coverage. It you want it " distressed" slightly, then just sand a few it on the edges afterwards, before the waxing With a slight " distressed" leg look, but you would need to give the top of the table a light sanding to " rough it up" on the edges if you want a good solid, coverage, Annie Sloan is not the right choice have a look on eBay, I have just bought some cages light to fit near my table outside ( I was just playing around with them yesterday before the electrician comes toda), they were only like $46 each

Ta heaps, Jodes. 2 years post reno and we’re still lovin‘ it - it’s so practical and easy to clean. I’d have yours any day too btw. You’re lucky to have a sparkie on tap. We don’t. Our cabinet maker threw in the strip lighting. I thought it was a nice but unnecessary extra; something I wouldn’t have asked for. But like you, I’m so glad it’s there - no working in your shadow. It’s brilliant. An absolute must in any future kitchen reno now. The MW is good but a bit impatient - it beeps too much! We had a 20yr old Sharp carousel, so the new one was a bit of a tech leap. It‘s pretty easy to get used to. We use the combo function a lot, and the rice program does a great job. Wish it cleaned itself tho! Since seeing your fridge, I’ve been on alert every time ours makes a weird noise, hoping this is it - bang - ceased motor. New fridge! Keep us updated about your window coverings. It’s a lovely looking home. You and your hubby have done really well. :-)

When I look at the doona images, would I be right that your choices are guided by the commonality of the colours which feature in the prints and the back wall? As they are both quite dark and the bedroom doesn’t seem that large, I think both the large patterns & the depth of colour of any of these doonas would be a little overwhelming and I’d opt for white (as oklouise suggests). It also picks up the petal colour of flowers OR, pick up the softest mauve pink that the prints contain. A white doona would be an easy to find solution, whereas a plain block colour in the pink would be harder to find - it needs to be a dusty (for want of a better world “dirty pink”) The white could also be repeated in the larger pillow at back. I did think your dog was a good addition of colour! Hence adding the contrasting cushions in a very pink tan, along with the throw. Texture could be added with these. A fluffy throw perhaps, and a wee print on the cushions. If you can sew a straight line you can sew cushions so off to fabric store for this.😊 I’d also be shifting one of the prints to another wall and hanging the other one lower, (even lower than where I drew it) above the bedside table. The bed head is quite tall and the prints don’t seem quite right above it. I’ve had a play with a sketch and enjoyed myself throughly. Kept playing with a colour palette and this is what came up so I thought I’d include.
