only way to know the price for your house is arrange a quote for the steel and also obtain a quote for repairing and/or replacing old tiles with new...Replacing our old leaking tiled roof with a brand new watertight super insulated steel roof (as soon as we confirmed our new floor plan) was our most important improvement because it allowed all the other work to be done without fear of future damage.. we also took the opportunity to consolidate old extensions by changing the roof shape, removed the old tiles, added new gutters, downpipes, fascias and some new eaves, added modern sarking and insulation, vacuumed out 50 years of dust and mouse poo, removed wasps nest, permanently evicted the possums, repaired all the electrical wiring and ventilation ducts, relocated the manhole access and then added Colorbond steel roofing and plan to never have to do any roofing again

We want something that blends in, but because it's a zinc and colourbond shed home, I want to choose a colour that makes it look more like a house and less like a shed. I was looking at basalt but my husband would prefer a lighter colour for keeping the place cool in summer. My original choice was windspray but I'm a bit concerned it won't contrast enough with the zinc roof...but perhaps better than dune that might look too 'sheddy'...so hard to decide!

I had a colour consultant come out and help. Taking into account leafy surrounds and colour of homes next door, this was the outcome - it came together really well: All exterior walls - Resene Double Truffle Roof, Gutters / Gargae door - Colorbond Wallaby Front door - Resene Ironsand Window & Frames - Colorbond Surfmist Fascia - Colorbond Surfmist We have a lot of red soil where we live so couldn't possibly go with a white exterior or I'd be forever cleaning the stain off lower walls.
