How do I get into this light to change the one bulb, and clean it?

How do I get into this light? I want to know if the bottom is open?
If bottom is open is this how I get into the bulb and clean?(l would love that and are there screws? Or no screws?

Good morning,

This is an led fixture so there is no bulb to change. Cleaning you should be able to get into the glass area from either the top or the bottom to clean it. The assembly instructions will tell you how to do so.

I can’t believe that the LED does NOT need changing. All LED light bulbs need changing! I want to know for sure if light bulb can be changed. I live in Florida and we have hurricanes. If not and it can’t be changed I want to know how many YEARS THEY GUARANTEE this light bulb to work. Should be about 18-20 years if an “LED” light bulb!!!

Does it come open at the bottom? So I can put a man’s hand up into it for cleaning of dirty glass. We have bugs too!
I am working for a condominium assoc. and we will need over 120 of these so I truly need information and I know I can depend on Houzz to give me actual help. Send a picture if they have one. Thank you for your time and effort.

I have one of those Monika and I would venture to say that you wouldn't be able to cut it flat because with everything around everywhere having the waved top it would look really odd I think, and I doubt whether you would be able to paint it at least until the development is well over or you could find the developers all over you, along with residents who like yourselves have signed to agree to the covenants. A lot of people enter into these developments because there is a better chance of people looking after their properties however I will say that I am the only owner occupied in my part of the street, and I am forever weeding everyone else's garden, picking up the rubbish blown from the sea breeze on new builders not looking after their rubbish and the renters chucking empty beer bottles where they have sat on the steps drinking and throw the bottles into the garden and I actually water the rental alongside me as our gardens join, as yours probably does, and they refuse to water it. I want my place to look nice and if left to these renters it would look like homeless shelters. I think the tall pots and something like the black bamboo could look really good :)

m_mdimond; My constant whippet! Yes change is inevitable. Youth was great! Middle age more challenging, now the dread of what happens as the body slows, bu the mind still runs at top speed! Funny how we eventually become our parents and live with all the things they once complained about: eyesight less sharp, glasses, threading needles a challenge. Oh what we so easily dismissed or took for granted when we were young! Pain at bay to this point. Sad to hear of yours, but fantastic you are still managing to walk your Shepherd, despite it! Dogs keep us centred and motivated. They shower us in love and lack of judgement. My dad had his Jack Russell at his side into his nineties. He was his constant companion and often his sole company for days at a time, other than his twice weekly cleaner. Animals are so special. They deliver their own unique greetings and communicate in such different ways. My life would be so much the less without the animals who have been part of it. So lucky to have had two wonderful ponies and an incredible galloway. So lucky many of my friends had horses too. Horses, dogs and cats are always a point of connection into special human experience and also lead us to new human and animal connections. Nothing wrong with memories and sentiment. I think we feel it even more accutely as we age. Glad I kicked up my heels, as well as keeping those "heels down, legs close to my horses side and and elbows close to my own" for much of my fantastic and sometimes wild youth! I was a pretty good kid really, but do admit to having been a teen groupie, back in the day, wouldn't swap that either. Somewhere here, I believe is my scrapbook and definitely a few photos in the albums. Still like to kick up my heels, too! Yes. Gratitude is vital.

I really feel for you. I had a similar experience when a neighbour recommended someone she knew who was 'really good'! He was extremely lazy and, apparently, suffering from depression and he had split up with his girlfriend! He did a dreadful job which took a week - because he was too depressed to work on some days - he only did about half the job and I wasn't impressed. It has ruined my relationship with my neighbour because she knew him to be really good. She won't even come into my place - I assume she doesn't want to see the mess he created! To top it all off (I had paid him cash - fortunately only half of what he 'wanted' (not 'earned') so he wouldn't be paying tax on it )- I didn't get a receipt. He also took my house keys so I had to have the locks replaced. Such a mess and then, I had some tradies through a couple of weeks later for an unrelated job and they asked me when I was getting the place painted? When I told them it had just been done, they really didn't know where to look. I seem to constantly get ripped off, so I'm not getting much done any more - too expensive and depressing.

There should of been photos taken by property management before you entered into the tenancy. You should leave the property in the same condition that it was at the start of your tenancy. Ask the property manager to put in writing the comparison between start and finish of tenancy. If there are no repairs or extra cleaning required, (after completing the list as per your post) you should get your full bond returned to you. If the 3 metre light fitting was clean when you arrived, then it needs cleaning by you. Stay strong and document all conversions/emails, in case you have to go to the real estate institute for help.

We completely understand your concerns and we have answers for your questions! So this particular light that your inquiring about comes with an LED module. Yes fixtures that take LED bulbs need changing at some point but fixtures with LED modules are built directly in so it is impossible to change them. This LED module cannot be changed so that is why we said above there is no bulb to change. The LED module that comes with the fixture is rated (it lasts) for 30000 hours and the manufacturer warranties it for 3 years. Also the fixture does come open at the bottom and will be very easy for a mans hand to fit in to clean. Due to your concern with needing these fixtures to last long, we recommend that you get the NON-LED module version of this exact same light. It's the same fixture but instead of an LED module it takes three standard light bulbs in which you can put LED's or whatever you might choose.
