Which bathroom layout should I go with?
Comments (21)yes but I think it depends what market you are likely to be seeking in. if it's not family home market but more up market retirees then a glam spacious bathroom will win more plaudits from buyers than a cramped make-do space. I just strongly feel you should design your bathroom so it is a pleasure to use every day not just the one day a year you may want a bath (plus much as I like the style of bathroom Siriuskey has posted they really don't beg out for bathing in). But a vanity space where you can even have your own toothpaste if you like stripey and he likes plain and all stored neatly away so they never have to appear on display together and with a shower you can lift your arms up in is priceless if you ask me....See MoreIdeas for a New Bathroom Layout
Comments (6)having used a similar bathroom for my own family from very small children to a house full of adults this bathroom arrangement makes the best use of limited space and any other option is no better than the existing ..having the toilet entry via the vanity saves having to install a handbasin inside the toilet and allows for the optional storage space but the vanity is not wide enough for more than one basin (even without the dividing walls and, although the doors would mostly remain open while the kids are small, everyone will be glad of the privacy when they're older) and, using a built in bath allows for the bigger bath as a freestanding bath needs space all around for cleaning although you could have a freestanding back to wall bath with a smaller vanity cabinet and omit the walls and maybe make the shower bigger an dthe toilet smaller but a handbasin in the toilet needs the extra space...See MoreTiny bathroom/laundry layout ideas??
Comments (17)Thanks siriuskey, similar to another suggested layout which works well in the space. Will definitely put in a mirror shaving cabinet and replace the horrible 70's spec shower screen currently there. oklouise, thanks for another great suggestion. I'm open to moving everything at this stage (subject to plumbers costs). The entire property is only around 100sqm (double storey barn conversion) so there really isn't another space for the "laundry" to go. Having said this, we did contemplate a European laundry in the kitchen, but again, we'd still have spacing issues plus additional costs that we don't have the budget for. I definitely have lots to discuss with Mr Danielle!...See MoreBathroom layout ideas
Comments (12)If you include the linen cupboard which will give you around 3000, You could try the following, door size and architrave need to be checked. The vanity shown is 1000 x 600 to help show how the linen space fits, I would reduce the vanity back to 400 - 500 deep Shower screen is shown as 1100 to fit with the door and allow access to the bath shower...See Morebigreader
