It's hard to see in my photo, but your design is almost exactly what I had in a previous house in a room at the back of the garage (you can see the tiny space at the back - it's almost impossible to photography, trust me, I tried). Mine had no windows, and it was very compact, but with a slimline vanity and a beveled mirror taped above it it didn't feel cramped (it used to have a medicine cabinet above the vanity which always felt heavy, like it impeded access). The only suggestion I would make is a cavity door if you can - I'm not normally a fan of them on bathrooms but they definitely influence the feeling of space in my situation (even though there was room to swing a normal door). Also, strong lighting in there will stop the shadows building up, though as a bathroom a double-heat lamp/light/fan might cover that. If the shower is curtained, use a clear curtain - I didn't and the loss of light was noticeable and claustrophobic. Basically, lightness in everything helped the feel of space. (PS. Excuse the general decoration of the room - it was my personal space decorated and set up exclusively to please no one but me. :) )

Hi Tanya. Very nice colour scheme you have going on there. I think you could easily use one tile in bathrooms and another in hallways, kitchen, etc. as the hues of both appear very similar. Is the bathroom tile also to be used in laundry? You could also have a colourful rug in your kitchen to warm it up if you think the tone of tiles are too cool. Keep us posted what you decide.

I'm also late back to this plan party.. :-) looks so much better Beck B, I'm so glad you went with the idea of having a direct entrance into the working parts of the home.. laundry butlers pantry etc.. it makes for a much easier life! And I see you have utilized that whole living spaces area much better now, better thoroughfare, flow and more pantry space! Its a much better design I would still consider a concealed sliding doors at the end of your kitchen. Also having another look at your kitchen, and your sink seems in an awkward spot, not sure it that is just temporary, but have you considered moving the cleaning section of your kitchen (sink/dishwasher) along the wall? to the right if you clean left to right or vice versa. If it eating outdoors is something you do often, this will be much more convenient and also keep the dishes away from the 'lounge/dining' part of the room.
