We have approx 15 year old composite decking in a cream/pale yellow colour at the front and rear of house. Not sure exactly what it is made of (bought the property with it), but it does not have a 'wood look' that recent composite decks have. The decking is still in pretty good nick so we would like to use it if we can, but we would like decking that has a more wooden-like colour (ie darker brown). Does anyone know of it is possible to resurface or paint composite/ plastic decking to change the colour? I've seen some online articles on staining composite but they seem to be more about restoring an existing colour.
Thanks for any advice.
