Black would work though. dining table will need to be dark timber and if you use large colourful floor mats to define the lounge and dining area, I don't think you will even notice the floor tile. you may need some decent gripping underlay for the floor rugs as well.

Hi If the tiles are in good condition it seems a waste to remove them. Pressure clean the tiles then repoint the grout to match the concrete/tiles under the roof. That will give visual cohesion. Remove the existing terra cotta pots. Use large pots coloured to match the posts of the veranda - blue/grey?? As you said - lots of greenery. Maybe a vertical garden near the lounges. Near the lounge area, under the veranda place a huge, aged terra cotta urn with lots of patina. Let us see what you come up with Enjoy

my suggestions are based on zoning the areas for multiple cooks and helpers and has a bar open to the living area from both ends with an optional privacy door between bar and pantry and no door between kitchen and pantry, the island should be much narrower for quick meals and the arrangement of drawers and supporting post under the island allow for cook's stool spacebtw, unless you prefer to iron in the laundry the laundry and mudroom seem a little generous at the expense of the small study that could also be a useful downstairs emergency sick room
