Is that a path on the fence line? I suggest a garden, but would wait until you have brought in the extra earth, etc for your driveway. Then reassess what level you would like it at. And how it would connect, in height to the front yard. Just looks like you need a lot of new fill for the area.
Thank you all. This is a front and angled view of the area in question, located in a coastal area of regional Victoria. Yes it will need to have fill added, but would you make it a garden or an extra pathway with cobblestones or the like! All suggestions welcome!
It’s a little confusing. What are the decked pads for along the fence line. I assume the retaining wall and garden bed behind it is in your property. It looks kilometres you have concrete beside the house with a step in it. I would have had a ramped track along the side of house to move things to back yard like bikes and garden supplies. What do you need in the way of regular access along side of house? What is the front yard. I would continue that treatment and maybe some stepping stones, these could be treated pine sleepers it depends on your look for the front.
The decked pads are steps/ramp to back yard, yet to be finished. Step in the path was how it had to be for some reason, so now trying to work out the best option to finish off!
Hi Karen, along carport I would keep planting low, mass planting of same species would look beautiful, sweet viburnum, Rhaphiolepsis ‘snow maiden’ is gorgeous, pittosporum ‘golf ball’ is a soft self mounding plant and always looks fabulous , if you decided to mix it up , try adding a architectural feature plant at intervals, use a stone mulch to always keep it tidy.
