I've just started that joyful feeling of revamping my old furniture. Nice pieces when we bought them not as great a look now but of course it's still quality too good to throw....the after pics are very satisfying

We have moved 3 times. Next time I 'm going to ask the buyers of this place would they like to buy my patio/pot plants. Plants are so bulky, heavy and awkward. Each time we have moved I have used such care but my favourite's have still curled up and died, not adjusting to the new environment. I think better to get a few dollars towards the new ones. After selling our last house and moving 500k's the agent rang me settlement day, said the buyers wanted to buy my patio plants. To late we had hired a trailer took them to the new place where in 6mths they were dead. If I'd only known !!

These are all good ideas but I think the room is laid out to invite people to way through the centre. I thought pull out the soft off the wall and still facing the TV. But more in line with the door that leads to the garden. That way people are forced to walk behind the soft. If you purchase the modular settee it should work also but I think one of your favourite bright colours would work very well too. Also with my suggestion I would turn the rug around to link it between the TV cabinet and the new placed sofa. A coffee table placed lengthwise along the rug would be lovely too.

Ours were a light-mid beige colour and I didn't enjoy them! Actually the darker the colour the more they show the marks. We now have semi polished tiles in the areas that kids use. Still a slight sheen but way more practical. A good tile shop should be able to talk you through the different types of tiles.
