Hi Cogra, check out this house which I think is in QLD for some inspiration - http://houzz.com/projects/749047 Obviously yours doesn't have an overhanging roof, but the facade colour is lovely & if you were renovating the deck the balustrade might suit (obviously depending on cost) 🙂

What do you plan to do with the roof? It’s a dominant part of the facade so it needs to feature in your colour selection. Sorry, I was asking the condition of the verandah/pergola roof? Does it need repair? And if it does, it would be a good opportunity to replace the iron with wooden posts.

The first picture you posted Amber -- I assume that is the 'sort-of' after -- the current look ? It still has the oxide red gutter , and that is the look I'd do -- a red gutter , red on the rail on the terrace , and I'd do the window sills ( not the other 3 sides ) in the red . With all the white / beige / greys it lacks that bit of colour IMO .
