Any ideas how to fix the living room end of our dining room?
Comments (25)First ,is removing excess furniture an option? Second, why bar fridge in the dining area, that really ruins the look. Seems that you can not move dining table closer to the kitchen because you have light pendant above the table, so can you move piano where your black couch is and couch on the other side of the room instead of creamy colour sofa . I notice the luck of coffee tables and side tables, that's probably why you like to sit around dining table, it is not visitors friendly and doesn't encourage conversation or interaction. I will come back to it have to study photos more. Are the arm chain the other room similar colour to the couch in the dining area?...See MoreHow do I do this family room? Lounge? T.V.?
Comments (5)I would have two sofa's, one where the single arm chair is, I would bring the other sofa towards the fireplace /TV and place a sofa table behind it, a single arm chair could go between the kitchen and TV, loving that big Island cheers...See MoreNeed help, ideas or suggestions on adding dining to family room.
Comments (20)I'll offer another suggestion . I assume you have a TV somewhere along the wall where the sliding doors are ? Take out one shelf at the end of the lounge -- the one that has the word Home on it -- redistribute everything or move some to other rooms etc . Put the TV there . Then swing the couch around and make it almost a natural break . At an approx guess , you'll have somewhere around 1.5 metres extra , so probably move one end of the couch towards the wall , giving somewhere to walk through . That then leaves about 1/3rd of that area for dining . Having said all of that , like others , I still can't understand why you want two eating areas side by side , surely the logical thing is to have 1 eating area , using the largest of the tables etc ? And on that vein , and the fact that there isn't a TV in view or on the plan , is it possible you also have another lounge or family room or rumpus room etc somewhere else too ?...See Morebigreader
