@urj123, Cricky!!! I knew you were going to ask that, after I looked at the sample I had that was full strength ha-ha.....AND I re-read you post and you wrote quite clearly 1/4 strength!!! I will return to the store, AGAIN, ha-ha and ask for 1/4 strength. All jokes aside, I think 1/4 will probably be real nice, as I didn't dislike the full strength but too creamy for the ceiling. My daughter actually painted all her ceilings the same colour as her walls with Hog Bristle but all the experts seem to say that a ceiling should be white or at least traditionally its always been white and I like the look of that too. I won't be back in town until next week but I'll keep in touch when I have the sample in my hand. Hubby and I are hay contractors and are at our most busy time being in tractors for many long hours but we are nearing the end and then I can take a breath and turn my focus back onto the home. Actually have 80mtrs of edging or capping tiles around the veranda to do and then the same amount of concreting to do on the 1.8m wide veranda and then we can get the colourbond roof on the house and during the cooler months, we can start to lay the limestone bricks, so there's plenty to do on the home!!! I agree with pottsy99's approach. I'd paint the concrete portions of the wall. Depends what the colour scheme of your garden is - charcoal might suit. Personally, I love off-white but it might not go. Whatever colour you go with, I'd also paint the terracotta pots to have more cohesion. At that point, you might consider leaving the stones alone (perhaps a tidy up if you're feeling energetic.) You could also go for weeping plants. Dichondra silver falls are my favourites. They are also relatively easy to propagate and grow. However, mine always die during the Perth summer heat. Heartleaf iceplant are also easy to grow, propagate and hardy but does attract snails.

The white letterbox , and the shrubs , looks really nice . But do you want your bedroom to look like the inside of an esky ? The roof is white , surely you want some colour somewhere on the walls ? The existing walls look a creamy beige , the blind looks beige , the curtains look a fawny beige . Maybe I'm oldschool , but I like 1 wall as a feature wall with at least some colour , and the rest a plainer version of that . For example , I have a warm blue room , with slightly darker wallpaper on the wall behind the headboard ( heading towards a royal blue ) with a gold stripe around 5mm wide , and then a light blue and another gold stripe only about 1mm wide either side of that ( well , 6-8mm away ) . That probably sounds like something your gran would have had , but it actually looks modern , and interesting . And again they aren't trendy any more , but the blinds are warm natural wood venetians . I'm definitely not suggesting that , nor ruling it out , but IMO any white room outside an art gallery is lacking life , lacking colour , lacking imagination -- even if you add some colourful art or duvet colour ( I think you Aussies call them dooners ? ) or rug , its still a white base .
