we need to see the whole house plan and direction of views to be specific but our house on acreage had a loo and shower with full height windows to make the best of the views instead of using a floorplan and windows designed for the suburbs

I'm not sure either design makes the best use of your space.
I think you might want to think about having bath in front of wall with shower behind and you want to maximize as much bench space and storage.

I agree. I'd go for the biggest windows possible, and a wet room where the bath and shower are both behind glass.

Thanks for the suggestion Fiona. We also have two windows on the front wall. These are 1500 long x 900 wide. On the side wall we can put any size windows. We've opted for two 600 wide windows that go from floor to ceiling in the plan with shower & vanity OR one 900 wide window that goes floor to ceiling between the bath and vanity in the other plan. I can't figure out how to draw a wet room that maximises the space (though I've tried). Other thing is - I love a bath... for the Friday evening debrief and relax. I prefer the option marked OPTION 1. (the second plan)

Two basins, large area around the bath. decent shower, and always a door on the toilet.

A good size window between vanity and bath would be fabulous.

in a rural location it would be good to be able to enjoy the views from inside and your generous available space with room for big fixtures..my suggestion has the toilet tucked around the corner with a glass screen wall to enclose the walk in shower and views from the toilet, shower and tub and room for a chair and table

love the window in the shower and remember the shower space is 1800 long so water should not be too much of a problem for the window

Another thought with a large picture window to the view from the bath.

I think the powder room will be your husbands choice over the loo in the ensuite.

A couple of other thoughts if you haven't already built. I would change the entrance to the Media and in particular not have it directly opposite the doorway into the powder room, I also don't think it necessary to have a another door within te powder room.

I have played with the access into the kitchen making it more open and also allowing for a simpler access to the pantry, you could even swing the fridge sideways so that it faces and opens into the pantry space

The Laundry, family bath and porch changes so that coming in off the property gives easy access to both spaces, just my thoughts
