I agree about the idea of putting roller blinds on your door , matching the colours of the others must mention about Annie Sloan paint : it is a chalk paint and you can apply it on any wood surface with at having to use primer, what " seals" the pain is the Annie Sloan wax you apply afterwards. You can Buy Annie Sloan on line , i use Annie Sloan a lot.it is expensive if you want the legs painted black to be smooth, just paint and wax , but one coat of Annie Sloan does not give a good coverage. It you want it " distressed" slightly, then just sand a few it on the edges afterwards, before the waxing With a slight " distressed" leg look, but you would need to give the top of the table a light sanding to " rough it up" on the edges if you want a good solid, coverage, Annie Sloan is not the right choice have a look on eBay, I have just bought some cages light to fit near my table outside ( I was just playing around with them yesterday before the electrician comes toda), they were only like $46 each

Hi Z Cee A lovely headboard choice!! As mentioned in comments above, the headboard is the star of the show in this room but the choice of bedsides need to compliment it. I would look for something that echos the headboard with some texture, or patina but nothing too dark or heavy. Something in antique brass would look great and give a lift against the timber. Sidetables and stools make good options for bedsides if you dont need the storage. A couple of ideas below. Best wishes

I love your new print. So much mid-century design is about clean lines and an uncluttered look. I would paint the back wall, two side walls and ceiling of the recess in one of the colours from your new print, which will make the entry really pop. There are a couple of great mid-century aqua/teal tones in your print that will work well. The console is nice, but looks a bit busy in the small recess. I would replace it with a custom built, "floating" cabinet, that contains a couple of drawers, but is the full width of the recess and without any legs. Keep the top of your new floating console clear, so you don't detract from your print. In a small space like your recess less is always more. Best of luck, Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls

This is gorgeous and love the use of colour. To be honest a lot of homes are very bland and IMO no personality with the odd "Feature wall" every now and again which is also a bland one colour wall to spice things up. Having patterned wallpaper or covers makes the space look it has a worldly feel to it. If its your forever home it should have some personality which it looks like this one does and its been pulled together very well. Congrats
