Hi Complete Kitchens....Yes, I realise that 20k could get a good standard kitchen (our own one recently done was about 26k including scullery), I'm more talking about the ones that talk about doing kitchen, bathroom, painting and even moving some walls on 20k. What my point was, is its great when people like you actually give an idea of a cost of a project - it's easy to get fired up with inspiration and then get thoroughly dissapointed when reality hits! Things are expensive these days and I think for some who may not have done any renovations to their house for years, they don't really have a lot of idea of the costs involved.

Dear me!! I didn't want this to turn into a name calling discussion. I don't mind reading people's opinions, I quiet enjoy reading different peoples likes/dislikes. We all have different tastes and we are not ALL going to like the same things, obviously! All I wanted to know, was if the colour of the cupboards matched the colour of the benchtops...that's it! Didn't want anyone to turn nasty about it :( Anyways...hope you all have a great weekend :)

Hi All, It sounds like tumeric and grease are the worst culprits for staining. We are looking to put the Cloudburst in our kitchen as our island and backsplash, but I'm very nervous. I love to cook and host. I also LOVE the look of this stone and would like to make it work if we can. Are there any bakers on this thread that have experience with these countertops? If you are rolling out dough or baking with greasy dough, how has that experience been? What if you get butter/oil on it? Any tips? Do you cover the counter before doing your baking etc.? I imagine beet juice would also be a nightmare?

If you are after an all black style kitchen I have several recomendations: 1. I recently used Caesarstones "Night sky" as the countertop complemented with Naval Sandblasted "Black Pearl" laminate for the joinery. It looked fantastic and was very sleek. I also incorporated matt black sink and tapwear to keep it clean and minimal and then the surrounding walls were lexicon half. Hopefully we will have photos of it soon to show you but the progress looks fantastic!
