Why thank you - I was quite surprised how well it turned out myself. I cleaned the surfaces, then wiped ESP product on all surfaces to be painted, waited 90mins, then 1st coat of oil based enamel white. I was impatient and did the second coat only about 4hours later. It took a Saturday morning and I was done :)

I would vote for the top example here. Itr gives an earthy tone to the room and yet is still bright and wont show every piece of dust or food.

I think non gloss given that the bottom cabinets look as if they have some shine. Just looking at the photo again, do they have any damage? If so it might be a good idea to replace the doors on these at the same time - if that happens you can even more options on colour scheme. Good luck I am sure either way you will love the refresh and extra storage.

We have used black carcasses for a black and wood kitchen. Looks great and everything is easy to find. Cost an extra $1000 on the total reno but absolutely worth it imo. The white would look cheaper especially when pulling out the black drawers to see the stark white inside. We also opted for dark drawer runners.
